What am I really meant to be doing with my life?
Is that a question you’ve been asking yourself?
You are in good company.
In early 2020, the world came to a screeching halt, and we were all confronted with immediate and drastic changes to our lifestyles. Businesses closed, employees were laid off or, if we were fortunate enough, our home became our office, and classroom, and entertainment center. Our “essential” workers – in addition to doctors and nurses and other first responders – became grocery store employees, cleaning crews, and IT support. It’s been a whirlwind of change forced upon us without warning.

We thought it would be over by now. We’d be able to go back to the way things were, in the “before times.” But it’s dragging on and creating lasting change in how business is done, and how lives are lived.

Have you started to wonder about your life’s work? Have you re-evaluated your priorities and goals? Did you relocate to a larger space so your kids could have a yard to play in and you and your spouse could each have your own workspace? Maybe you left a job with a higher risk of exposure because you or a family member had health complications that could lead to the worst outcomes. Or your job disappeared altogether as your employer was forced to shut its doors under state or federal mandates. Did you or a loved one get sick, and you weren’t able to continue working because of that? Our condolences if you lost a loved one, and that triggered a reconsideration of what life is all about.
There’s a revolution going on in the world of work.
Employers are having to rethink what they expect from their employees and consider the demands on them from all areas of their lives. Going back to the workplace is enticing to some while triggering anxiety in others. or their kids are in hybrid situations where they don’t have the same days or hours of in-person education that the parents have come to rely on for their own work schedule. Child care is increasingly difficult to find. There are new variants wreaking havoc again, with new restrictions and lockdowns in many places. Employers are having to adjust their plans for “return to office.” Labor shortages are confounding the experts, even as unemployment is at new lows. The weather is playing a part too, making it difficult if not dangerous to get around, further complicating economic recovery for some businesses.
The future is so uncertain!
Workers at all levels are under enormous amounts of stress, and burnout is at an all-time high.
The Great Reset has given way to the Great Resignation!
Prince Harry, who famously “resigned” from the British Royal Family, has been quoted as saying [The Great Resignation] “is a sign that with self-awareness comes the need for change. Many people around the world have been stuck in jobs that didn’t bring them joy, and now they’re putting their mental health and happiness first. This is something to be celebrated.”
The good news is, business creation is also at an all-time high. Even if you’re not ready to leave your job, you may find a “side hustle” that adds to your enjoyment and has growth potential if you decide you need or want to have more flexibility in your work life. Knowing there’s something else you could do to take care of yourself and your family if the world shuts down again, might ease some anxiety when getting back into your “before times” routine.
And if you’re 50+, you may be faced with early retirement whether you like it or not. Age discrimination is also at an all-time high, and it’s harder and harder for folks with decades of experience to find a place that appreciates the value of their expertise.

Isn’t it time for you to follow your own road, play your own game, build your own dream?
Enroll today, and you’ll get a link by email to the downloadable infographic with all 10 Steps right away. Then, each week for 10 weeks you’ll receive a deeper dive into each step with resources to help you with each one. We’ll have a mid-course live Q&A as well as one to wrap things up at the end. We’ll also have a private Facebook group where you can ask questions and get feedback throughout the mini-course.
If you want to make some big changes in your life and your livelihood, this program is for you. These steps are just the beginning. But the beginning is important when you’re contemplating a whole new life. The 10 Steps will give you the foundation upon which you can solidly build your dream.
And to help you with getting the support you’ll need and connecting with the right people, we’re including a one-year membership to our private My Changing Course group.

In this members-only group, you’ll be able to interact with other change-seekers in our private Facebook group. You’ll also have the opportunity to join our monthly Q&A/Idea Seat call where we take your questions and brainstorm solutions to any obstacles you’re encountering. These calls are open to all current members, the first Tuesday of every month. If you can’t join live, you’re welcome to submit your questions/obstacle and listen to the recording later for feedback.
Membership in My Changing Course is $97 a year, so it’s like getting the mini-course free! Plus, as a member in good standing, you’ll receive a discount of $97 on any other programs we offer. Renewal will be automatic unless you cancel, but we don’t think you’ll want to. Where else can you have the opportunity for personal attention to your dreams and challenges each month, and a community of like-minded change-seekers for less than $100 a year? Many programs charge $97 a month or more, with little or no personal interaction. We want to reach as many people as possible, and help them be as successful as possible, so we’re keeping costs low to reduce barriers to entry.
As you contemplate the year ahead, and the resolutions that may have already fallen by the wayside, why not invest a little time in setting the right foundation for the life you really want? Now that the noise of the New Year is gone, it’s time to get serious about making your dream a reality!
