There’s Never Been a Better Time to Start or Grow Your Online Business

December 12, 2021 | ChangingCourse.com

Last week, we told you about our colleague, Christina Jandali’s upcoming free three-part workshop on Engaging Your Group on Facebook. Well, the workshops will begin on Monday, and we don’t want you to miss it. Why?

Because no matter where you are in building a business to create the life and livelihood you love, you are going to need to reach your audience, and:

  • Social media is one of the main ways for you to reach your audience.
  • Over 1.84 billion people across the globe use Facebook daily; 2.80 billion use it monthly. Those figures include 51% of 13-17 year olds, 76% of 18-24 year olds, 84% of 25-30 year olds, 79% of 30-49 year olds, 68% of 50-64 year olds, and 46% of 65+ year olds use Facebook.
  • You can apply the lessons you learn from Christina’s workshops to other social media platforms.

Starting Monday, December 13th at 12pm PST/3pm EST/8pm GMT, Christina is leading a free 3-Part Engage Your Group Training Series. She’s pulling back the curtain and showing you how you can:

  • Get started creating a Facebook Group filled with 1000’s of ideal clients — or grow your existing group to soaring new heights.
  • Discover the exact steps Christina took to grow her Facebook group to 2500 members in only 3 months…and triple her income in the process! Her group went to over 8K within a year after that!
  • Create your own community of followers who are thrilled to follow you, engage with you and ready to buy when you have a product or service they need. Remember, they are going to tell you what they need as they engage with you in the group.

We hope to see you there.

To Your Big Dreams,

Money Maker: Create a Live, Recorded or Virtual Tour

Do you have a lot of knowledge about your city or town? Do you know where all the hidden gems, historically significant sites, or best restaurants are?

Maybe, instead, you have a favorite vacation spot that you’ve visited many times and know the place almost as well as the locals.

You could create a tour business to share your knowledge with visitors. With travel opening and closing due to the uncertainties surrounding the pandemic, now is a great time to encourage people to visit the hidden gems near home.

Tours could be done as live, in-person walking or bus tours; as pre-recorded self-guided tours that individuals or groups can listen to on their phones, or virtual tours.

LIMITING THOUGHT

Lack of Major Progress Means Failure

Do you feel that if you’re not making significant progress every single day, then you’re a failure? Maybe you have a list of goals that you want to achieve and that list haunts you because there are too few check marks on the page. It’s a reminder of all that you haven’t achieved. Sometimes feeling like you must do big things, results in doing nothing at all.

Your limiting belief may be that lack of major progress on your goals means that you’re a failure. You constantly criticize and berate yourself for not achieving more. For not being more successful. For not accomplishing more, faster.

NEW THOUGHT

Any progress is a Win.

To shift from this belief, you must understand that even the smallest progress on your goals is a big win. Small bits of progress on a consistent basis adds up over time to big wins. You may not be making huge amounts of progress on a daily basis, and that’s OKAY. Slow and steady wins the race.

Your new belief is that any progress is a win. Did you take one small step toward your goal? That’s a win! Even if you only do one thing per day or per week toward your goals, that’s progress and should be celebrated. Don’t judge your success by whether you’re making big jumps forward, but by your consistency.

Check out this week’s book, One Small Step Can Change Your Life for guidance on making those consistent small steps and repeat “Any progress is a win!

What We’re Reading

One Small Step Can Change Your Life by Robert Maurer, Ph.D. Is a guide to the kaizen, the art of making great and lasting change in habits or processes through small steady steps. Kaizen is an ancient philosophy captured in the statement of Tao Te Ching: “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” This is a great book to read just before you make those New Year’s resolutions.

We’ve shared a lot of books and we will continue to do so. The idea is not necessarily for you to build a library – though you can. The idea is to purchase (or borrow from the library) those books that are relevant to your situation, that can help you to conquer any blocks in your mindset that may be preventing you from reaching for your wildest dreams.
